6 Baz Lurhmann Quotes That Helped Me Through Some Difficult Times

I first fell in love with Baz Lurhmann after hearing his university speech in 1997 which was then set to music.

For the longest time, this is all I thought he did. It didn’t occur to me that in order to give a university speech, he must have done some pretty cool and inspiring things in life.

But in 1997, I was 7 years old, so my young mind didn’t think any further than what was in front of him.

Only later did I learn that he’s Australian film director, producer, writer, and actor.

I still love that speech and I occasionally listen to it for nostalgic reasons because for many years it helped me through some difficult times.
