I would have to agree that it normally takes about 20 minutes or so. That’s how long it takes for the energy to build, the mind to quieten down and the spirit to rise. But there are no guarantees. I’ve had some profound experiences in my daily 20-minute soma routine and underwhelming 1 hour sessions elsewhere. So it just depends. But I good rule of thumb for soma is that after about 20 minutes things should shift and the continue to shift after that. What I love most about soma is that it goes it rounds of rhythmical breathing and breath holds so it gives me a chance to track these changes. Are you thinking about trying it?
