No One Says It Better Than Michael Singer

Michael Singer is one of those annoyingly accurate people.

He’s said things like:

• “If you are resisting something you are feeding it. Any energy you are fighting you are feeding. If you are pushing something away you are inviting it to stay.”
• “There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind — you are the one who hears it.”
• “Eventually you will see that the real cause of problems is not life itself. It’s the commotion the mind makes about life that really causes problems.”

Because of things like this, I listen up when he speaks. He’s a bit like honey on toast. He makes life sweeter and more enjoyable.

He also makes it more real.

The next passage is one of my favourites:

“You live on a planet that has water, trees, cute little birds that sing, whales, roses, waterfalls, milkshakes, music and millions of other cool, beautiful things. And yet all you do is complain!

‘The weather’s too hot.’ ‘It rained on my birthday.’ ‘I can’t believe his ex-girlfriend said that to me.’
