Six Tips for When You’re Feeling ‘Meh’
Somedays are just more difficult than others. Here are some tools to help you get over the slump
On a good day, I wake up feeling rested, content, and balanced.
Everything feels like it’s in tune and my mood remains consistent.
On a bad day, however, I wake up feeling like somethings a little off, not fully out of tune exactly, but not in tune either.
Today, I’m a little out of tune and I know you know what I mean.
It’s pouring with rain, I’m meant to be at a festival but can’t because of rain delays, and the whole of South Africa is experiencing 8-hour-long power cuts thanks to a nationwide plan to save energy.
So, it’s cold, wet, and dark, and I’m feeling it.
I’m fine, of course, but today is a challenge. It’s requiring more patience, more awareness, and more acceptance, along with some good old adaptability to find the beauty I know exists.
It’s one of those ‘meh’ days.
What is ‘meh?’
To me, ‘meh’ means that nothing is wrong, exactly, but there’s a low-level sense of dissatisfaction, perhaps a feeling of being unsettled, or maybe even feeling a little down.
