The Day Paolo Coelho Left Me Speechless

I was 24 years old.

I had spent the previous 6 years working shitty jobs, getting paid an even shittier salary, and wondering what the hell life was all about.

I knew there was more to life than what I was living but I just couldn’t figure out what it was or how to experience it.

Then, in 2014, I went scuba diving for the first time and everything changed. I was completely in awe of the underwater world and completely fascinated by my breath.

It took me about a year to become an instructor and another year to start teaching students.

Every day, I had to pinch myself that my life was real. I went from working in a freezing cold and dusty workshop in the UK to the warm and calm waters of the Caribbean.

It was the stuff dreams were made of!

Those five years taught me four important lessons:

  1. Work doesn’t have to be laborious or soul-sucking. It can be hugely rewarding and inspiring.
  2. Making money doesn’t have to be at the cost of following a passion, it can be the by-product of it.
  3. Mental health doesn’t have to suffer because of a toxic…
